Black current grows
on clayey calcareous fresh and shaded grounds of temperate
areas of Europe and Asia.
It is rarely found at random (rows, woods, and humid under-wood),
but it is cultivated a lot (essentially for its fruits),
particularly in Burgundy for France.
Black current leaves are very efficient to fight against
uric acid that involves very often articular pains (called
rheumatic).
Its leaves have tonic, diuretic and astringent properties,
and contain principally an essential oil, anthocyanic
pigments (which bring to them their vitamin P action),
tannins, and vitamin C.
Black
current leaves have the following properties :
• Anti-inflammatory
• Anti-rheumatic
• Diuretic
